Tarmon N.S. was delighted to have been selected to take part in the Artists in Schools 2021/22 programme, funded by Roscommon County Council. Sixth Class children have been working collaboratively and under the guidance of a local artist to create this beautiful mural in our school gym.
Children from First and Second Class baked mouth-watering Christmas treats today. They read Christmas recipes, weighed out the ingredients and followed the steps carefully. Delicious Reindeer cake and Christmas cookies were devoured in seconds by the chefs themselves! I’m sure these chefs will be of great help in the kitchen on Christmas morning! 😊 Meet some of the members of our new Student Council for 2021/2022. These leaders were elected by their classmates and they are very excited to bring forth creative ideas from each of their respective classes to the next Student Council meeting. The future is bright! The staff would like to thank the pupils from last year’s Student Council for all their hard work. 😊 We would like to say a huge thank you to the many parents and children who thoughtfully filled a shoebox for Team Hope this year. Your generosity and support of this initiative is, as always, greatly appreciated. These gifts are sure to bring joy to so many less fortunate children this Christmas.
The children from Fourth and Fifth Class have worked very hard to prepare and maintain our garden this winter. Weeds were discarded, the soiled was raked, bulbs were planted, raised beds were filled with beautiful perennial flowers and the chicken coop was mended. We are so looking forward to spring time to see our garden bloom again! |
