This week we are celebrating Active Schools Week 2023 at Tarmon N.S!
Yesterday each class had lots of fun playing soccer on our astro turf with Coach Kyle from FAI Schools.
Senior classes (3rd to 6th) visited O’Rourke Park to participate in a Gaelic Blitz with many other schools in the Castlerea area. Thank you to Bryan and Oran from Roscommon GAA for organising the fantastic event!
Today we held an in-school Gaelic Blitz with children from 3rd to 6th.
The final was an almighty tussle and resulted in extra time as the teams couldn’t be separated in normal time. Well done to the Roscommon team that emerged victorious after beating Leitrim! Many thanks again to coaches Bryan and Oran from

Meanwhile today our AstroTurf was a hive of activity as Peter and Ollie from Roscommon GAA took children from various classes for games and skills workshops which brought lots of smiles all round!
