We celebrated Grandparents Day today as part of Catholic Schools Week 2024.
Our grandparents were invited to visit their grandchild’s classroom, after which, we all assembled in the hall for a prayer service led by Fr John.
Following the service, the children were delighted to entertain their proud grandparents with some beautiful singing and dancing.
Pupils from various classes performed some beautiful Irish dancing.
More talented dancers performed their jiving and line dancing skills.
Some of our senior students took to the stage to play “Óró ‘Sé Do Bheatha Bhaile” on their string instruments with Padraic from Music Generation.
Our after-school choir penned and performed their very own song dedicated to Grandparents.
Second Class performed a cool rap as Gaeilge! 😎
To end the celebration our grandparents enjoyed a cup of tea and some treats thanks to the Parents Association.
It was a very special and memorable day for pupils and grandparents alike. 💗💗
